To contribute as effectively as possible to finding a cure for HIV in the Netherlands, all key stakeholders involved in HIV cure research have joined forces in NL4Cure. An important outcome of this collaboration is a shared research agenda. This agenda outlines the research that needs to be conducted in the coming years to bring a cure closer. It also describes how we can ensure that people living with HIV benefit from research findings as quickly as possible.
The SPIRAL research programme has been awarded nearly €6 million to accelerate progress towards an HIV cure for the communities most affected by HIV. Bringing together leading research groups from the Netherlands and abroad, the project focuses on several key areas of HIV cure research. Its goal is to help pave the way for treatments that are safe, acceptable, affordable and accessible to people around the world.
