• Keep sentences short. Try to keep a maximum sentence length of 10 to 15 words. 
   
• Use vivid language or examples that are easily recognised. Avoid abbreviations or explain them clearly. 
   
• Aim for a maximum of one A4 page. 
   
• Use images, diagrams or icons where possible. 
   
• Ideally, use quotes or stories from participants' experiences. 
   
• Use headings, short paragraphs and explanation boxes. 
   
• Consider using generative AI tools to write comprehensible texts. Review the texts critically and make adjustments where necessary.
